Minecraft 1.21

Minecraft 1.21 is the next installment in the series of updates focused on adding challenges and trials. One of the key additions is the Trial Chambers, which appear in the Overworld. These mysterious structures are made of Copper and Tuff blocks and are often found deep underground, within the Deepslate layers. Players will face tough challenges, including traps, battles, and the search for valuable chests.

Each Trial Chamber contains a special Trial Spawner that summons mobs from three categories: melee, small, and ranged. Among the summoned monsters, there will always be new mobs, such as the Breeze. Defeating these summoned creatures grants valuable rewards.

New Mobs

The update introduces several new creatures, each bringing unique mechanics to the game:

• Armadillo – The winner of the fan vote at Minecraft Live 2023. This mob, found in savannas and badlands, has a defensive mechanism where it curls up when threatened. Armadillos drop scutes, which are used to craft Wolf Armor.
• Breeze – An unusual mob that appears in Trial Chambers. It attacks with wind blasts that knock players back and interact with various mechanisms, including doors, buttons, and levers.
• Swamp Skeleton – A new type of Skeleton that shoots poisonous arrows. These mobs inhabit swamp biomes and can also be summoned by Trial Spawners.
